Ice skating is a fun way to spend time with friends while also improving your heart health and sleep quality. If you would like to enjoy some skating fun, check out a nearby ice skating rink this weekend!
Kansas City Ice Center
During the winter months, the walls at the Kansas City Ice Center are removed leaving just the roof and struts. This provides a picturesque setting, and visitors can enjoy public skate sessions throughout the week. Some are themed, and those who come dressed accordingly receive a discount.
The Kansas City Ice Center also features a Learn to Skate School that provides quality instruction in a fun environment. All ages are welcome, and convenient times are available.
The Ice at Park Place
Since 2008, The Ice at Park Place has offered skating under the stars. It’s the only outdoor rink in Leawood, and skaters can glide around the ice through February 18th. Those who would like to enhance their skills can enjoy lessons on January 12th or 26th. They’re free with paid admission, and the class size is limited to twenty participants.
After skating, visitors can dine at one of Park Place’s restaurants such as at BurgerFi, RA Sushi, or Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe.
Crown Center Ice Terrace
Sheltered by a white tent, the Crown Center Ice Terrace has been a local tradition for 46 years. It’s where many friends and families gather for an evening of fun, and many believe the Ice Terrace is the region’s premier rink. Open through March, admission is $7 for adults plus skate rental if necessary.
Ice skating is just one of the activities you can enjoy if you call The Highlands home. Please contact our leasing agents to arrange a showing where you can see all we have to offer firsthand.
